  • You can buy a place in Banff on the open market or through the Banff Housing Corporation.

  • The Banff Housing Corporation sells affordable price restricted and equity share housing.

  • You must meet certain criteria to be eligible to purchase a Banff Housing Corporation home.

Finding a Place to Rent

Facts about renting in Banff.

  • Rents for a room in a house shared with others are from $600 a month to $1,500.

  • Rents for an entire apartment range from $800 a month to $4500.

  • Some landlords do not advertise. They rent to people they know or someone recommended to them. So, let friends know you want to rent.

  • Find rental listings online at Bow Valley Home Finders or Bow Valley Nest Finders on Facebook, Banff/Canmore Kijiji and local property management companies.

  • The Banff Housing Corporation is one of Banff’s largest affordable rental housing providers. You must meet certain criteria to be eligible to rent a Banff Housing Corporation rental.

  • You must have a full time job to be eligible for housing.

  • You will be on a wait list for this housing.
